Come to Feeding Avery Families to receive supplemental food assistance: a wide variety of non-perishable products, meat, produce, bread, dairy, dessert and a selection of household and personal items. Individual Shopping and Drive -Thru options are available.
Where?
- The FAF Distribution Center at 189 Old Vale Rd in Newland. Click Here for Directions
When?
- January – October: First four Fridays of each month. (Closed if there is a fifth Friday in the month).
- May – November – First and Third Fridays of each month
- November and December: First three Friday of each month.
Time?
- Shopping: 9:30 – 11:15am and 12:30 – 2:15pm
- Drive-Thru: 9:30 – 11:30am and 12:30 – 2:30pm
- Drive-Thru: First and Third Fridays (May – November) 4:00 – 6:00pm
How Often?
- Two times per month per family
No Appointment, Identification or Proof of Income Needed
Shopping
- Arrive during operating hours and park your car
- Check in at the reception desk
- Shop with a guide and select the items that you want
- Return to your car and drive-thru to have your items loaded.
Drive-Thru
- Arrive during operating hours and drive up to the large garage door
- Check in with the Greeter
- Loaders will put pre-packed boxes of food in your vehicle
- Drive out when finished
