Feeding Avery Families Appoints Sally Loftis as Interim Co-Executive Director
Avery County, NC — Feeding Avery Families is pleased to announce the appointment of Sally Loftis as the Interim Co-Executive Director, effective immediately. Sally Loftis, a seasoned leader specializing in human resources and organization development, brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to the local community.
In her new role as Interim Co-Executive Director, Sally will work alongside Co-Executive Director Jo-Ann McMurray and Community Outreach / Latino Initiative Coordinator Vanessa Phillips to guide Feeding Avery Families through its next phase of growth and development. Sally will also help the board with planning for the future.
Sally has worked for the last 30 years in roles that promote dignity and human connection within organizations. She previously served as the Human Resources Manager at Penland School of Craft in Mitchell County, NC. Since 2020, Sally has founded and managed her own consulting firm, Loftis Partners. She and her team have worked with 60+ clients across the globe.
Sally also serves as a Regional Organizer for WNC Nonprofit Pathways for the Avery, Mitchell, and Yancey region. In this role, she has worked with 80+ nonprofits in the region to build capacity and strengthen organizations. Sally has volunteered with Crossnore Communities for Children since 2013. She also sits on the boards for NC Child and Charlie’s Heart Foundation.
